Research Scholarships

The Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering offers a number of full-tuition, half tuition and living allowance scholarships to assist international research students undertaking a PhD or Research Masters in areas of research strength within the Faculty.

Undergraduate Scholarships

Scholarships available to international students commencing studies in July 2008 and February 2009

Singapore

(nine scholarships per semester)
Nanyang Polytechnic
Ngee Ann Polytechnic
Singapore Polytechnic
Temasek Polytechnic

Each semester the Faculty offers six (6) merit based scholarships for high-achieving Diploma graduates of the above listed Singaporean Polytechnics who have been awarded places in the BEE Faculty courses at Queensland University of Technology. In addition the Faculty offers three (3) scholarships for graduates of other educational institutions in Singapore . These scholarships are available in the area of Engineering systems, Design and Urban Development.

The awarded student will receive AUD $2,000 per semester for the offered duration of their course. Scholarship selection is based on previous academic performance. No separate application form is necessary. Scholarships will be awarded in June/July 2008 for Semester 2, 2008 and in December 2008 for Semester 1, 2009.

Malaysia

(nine scholarships per semester)

INTI College, Sarawak
INTI College, Subang Jaya
Taylor's College
Malaysian Institute of Art
Limkokwing Institute

Each semester the Faculty offers six (6) merit based scholarships for high-achieving Diploma graduates of the above listed Malaysian Colleges who have been awarded places in the BEE Faculty courses at Queensland University of Technology. In addition the Faculty offers three (3) scholarships for graduates of other educational institutions in Malaysia. These scholarships are available in the area of Engineering systems, Design and Urban Development.

The awarded student will receive AUD $2,000 per semester for the offered duration of their course. Scholarship selection is based on previous academic performance. No separate application form is necessary. Scholarships will be awarded in May/June 2008 for Semester 2, 2008 and in December 2008 for Semester 1, 2009.

China

(nine scholarships per semester)
Shanghai Second Polytechnic University (two scholarships per semester)
Shanghai Institute of Technology (two scholarships per semester)
Hewing University City College (ZUCC) (two scholarships per semester)

Each semester the Faculty offers six (6) merit based scholarships for high-achieving Polytechnic/College graduates of the above listed Chinese Educational Institutions who have been awarded places in the BEE Faculty courses at Queensland University of Technology. In addition the Faculty offers three (3) scholarships for graduates of other educational institutions in China. These scholarships are available in the area of Engineering systems, Design and Urban Development.

The awarded student will receive AUD $2,000per semester for the normal duration of their studies. Scholarship selection is on the basis of previous academic performance. No separate application form is necessary. Scholarships will be awarded in December 2008 for Semester 1, 2009; and in May/June 2008 for Semester 2, 2008.

Postgraduate Scholarships

China

(two scholarships per semester)
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving Chinese graduates who have been awarded a place in any of the Faculty's postgraduate coursework programs.

Tuition fee subsidies of AUD $2,000 per semester will be paid by the Scholarship for the duration of the course.
Scholarship selection will be based on academic performance of prior degree studies as supplied on official transcripts. No separate application form is necessary. Scholarships will be awarded in May/June 2008 for Semester 2, 2008; and in December 2008 for Semester 1, 2009.

India

(two scholarships per semester)
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving Indian graduates who have been awarded a place in any of the Faculty's postgraduate coursework programs.

Tuition fee subsidies of AUD $2,000 per semester will be paid by the Scholarship for the duration of the course.
Scholarship selection will be based on academic performance of prior degree studies as supplied on official transcripts. No separate application form is necessary. Scholarships will be awarded in May/June 2008 for Semester 2, 2008; and in December 2008 for Semester 1, 2009.

Thailand

(two scholarships per semester)
The Faculty offers Merit Scholarships for high-achieving Thai graduates who have been awarded a place in any of the Faculty's postgraduate coursework programs.
