All Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering students are required to allocate themselves to classes for their units for each semester, using the Class Allocation System via QUT Virtual.

What do I need to have?
- Internet access
- Your QUT-access username and password - should you experience any problems please contact the Student Help Desk on 07 3138 2898.
- A current enrollment program and your course summary sheets.
What do I need to know?
- you are required to allocate for tutorials and lectures unless where the system allocates automatically.
- you can only allocate yourself into tutorials for units that you are currently enrolled in.
- once you have allocated yourself to a class for your unit/s, this is the one that you attend for the remainder of the semester. To enable the Faculty to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment, you must ONLY attend the lecture and tutorial class that you are allocated to in the system.
Class Timetable
Before you start to allocate yourself to classes for your unit/s, you should obtain a copy or view the class timetable.
When will class allocations be released?
Important dates and information for all units can be found at the "View units registered on class allocations" page in QUT Virtual.
Reasons why you may not be able to allocate to a class?
- You can only allocate to a class for units that you are currently enrolled in.
- You may have a timetable clash.
- The class is full.
Important Guidelines
- If you are a full-time student you must make yourself available for classes across the whole week.
- If a class is indicated as "full" you will not be able to allocate yourself to this class, and you will need to choose another time.
- Please ensure you are correctly allocated to a class for all your units prior to the commencement of semester in order to minimise disruption to your timetable.
