The information you find here is about second majors and minors (or unit sets, as they are sometimes called) offered by the Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering.

This course information applies to both students of Built Environment and Engineering and students enrolled in other QUT faculties.

If you are a student from within the Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering you need to check the study rules when you make your study choices. If you are a student from another QUT faculty, you must ensure you comply with the rules around your course.

Please be aware that not all units listed on this site will be available all of the time.

Why should I do a second major or minor?

Some Faculty of Built Environment and Engineering students in DE40, EN40 and UD40 have the opportunity to include either a second major or one or two minors as part of their course. This allows you to tailor your course to suit your own interests or career aspirations, or to pursue a project of special significance to you or of relevance to your profession. This is your opportunity to develop skills that will help to distinguish you from other graduates.
