Construction Management is concerned with the overall process of construction projects from conception, through planning and construction to commissioning and maintenance. Construction Managers must balance the management of people, materials, equipment and plant while focusing on issues such as cost, time, quality, safety and environment. Construction Managers require skills in planning, cost and quality management, law and real estate, industrial relations and people management as well as a detailed knowledge of construction techniques and materials.
