What is Civil and Construction Engineering?Civil and Construction Engineering is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering that combines civil engineering with construction management. Civil engineers plan, design, construct, operate and maintain a variety of structures and facilities and construction managers are responsible for coordinating the construction of large building projects. The range of work undertaken by civil and construction companies ranges from residential land development through earthworks, tunnels, road and dams to airports, marine facilities, major bridges and complex buildings. Our academic staff are industry experienced and are also members of international networks and collaborative research project groups.
