Higher degree research study in the Faculty is delivered in two forms:

• Masters by Research
• Doctor of Philosophy

The Faculty offers the following study paths for research students:

• BN71 - Master of Applied Science (Research)
• BN72 - Master of Engineering (Research)
• IF49 - Doctor of Philosophy (Built Environment and Engineering)

Enrolment periods

The enrolment periods are flexible for applicants. Students who wish to undertake Masters by Research or Doctor of Philosophy may apply at any time.

Domestic students can enrol in either full time or part time studies.

International students in the Masters program may only enrol in full time studies. They may only enrol in full time study for a PhD if they are internal students, but may enrol as a part-time student if they are studying externally.

Applying to study

Students should apply through the Research Students Centre for domestic applications.
