Research Fellow

Dr. Noppadol Piyatrapoomi is currently a Research Fellow in Transport, the Faculty of Built and Environment Engineering, School of Urban Development.

His expertise encompasses the area of the application of quantitative risk and reliability in assessing engineering investment, in transport modelling, in investment for infrastructure asset management and in infrastructure saftey assessment. Dr. Piyatrapoomi’s research work has won awards at the national level.  In 2005, he was awarded two engineering excellence awards for research innovation by the Queensland Government Department of Main Roads and RMIT University, respectively.  As the lead researcher, he led the research team to win an Engineering Excellence High Commendation Award from Queensland Engineers Australia.
