Microscopic studies of polymer-nanotube blends for construction of a new type of solar cell.
Introduction The active material is a mixture of carbon nanotubes and conductive polymer. Actual efficiency figures for the solar-electricity conversion in similar materials (polymer-fullerene blends) are about 5%. These cells could be economically viable if 10% efficiency is reached.
