The Dual Fuel research team consists of three Chief Investigators (CIs) from QUT:

and a Partner Investigator (PI) from AET

  • Mr U Kruger

The group also encompasses a Senior Research Associate and PhD student. The CI and PI team possess complementary expertise to cover all aspects of the project, with the QUT CI team having already worked together to successfully complete ARC and other research projects. The research will be managed through a Research Management Group of all above personnel meeting on a monthly basis. Mr Kruger will join the group through telephone when not in Brisbane. All QUT chief investigators will be involved in the supervision of the PhD student. The responsibilities of the team members are outlined below.

Dr Richard Brown

Dr Brown will be responsible for the overall management of the project, will promote multidisciplinary interactions, and will lead the thermodynamic modelling and engine performance testing in conjunction with the Senior Research Associate. Dr Brown has had recent experience in two such Linkage projects.

Dr Zoran Ristovski

Dr Ristovski will be responsible for the development of the motor vehicle emission sampling method and overseeing of the emission testing program, as well as principal supervision of the PhD student.

Professor Doug Hargreaves

Professor Hargreaves will be responsible of overseeing the fuel and lubricant aspects of the engine operation and testing through his Tribology Research Group.
