The school has over 30 full-time academic staff and 1200 students - approximately 25% of which are studying towards postgraduate coursework and research qualifications. All students benefit from an environment of close interaction with industry through our engagement of over 150 part-time academic staff in the coursework programs and our researchers have access to a comprehensive range of commercial and government research partners.

We are currently implementing an ambitious program of strategic development within the school, including rationalisation of courses and delivery to take into account changes in industry, the needs of graduates, and student needs for a variety of modes of study. The result is a high quality, innovative, streamlined, relevant, flexible and exciting set of courses which mirror and develop trends in industry. We are investing heavily in our research activities by funding research student scholarships, international conference attendance and study for staff, and support for publications and the search for external funding.
